Renting a motorbike in Vietnam is not difficult at all. The first thing you need to do is decide what type of bike you would like to hire. There are two main types:
- A moped (Moto)
- A full size bike (Cafe)
You can find both of these options in any large town. If you don't have much time before your flight home, you should go for the cafe model because they are cheaper than the motos. They are also easier to drive, but make sure you get one with good brakes and gears. In general, the best bikes are those made by Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki. However, even though these brands are well known around the world, some people still prefer smaller local manufacturers. These are usually less expensive and offer great value for money.
The next step is to look for a place where you can rent a motorbike. There are many places to do this in Vietnam, however, I recommend starting with a company called Rent a Bike. Their prices are very competitive and their service is excellent. Once you have rented your bike, take it back to the office where you picked it up and pay them the deposit required. Then head over to the airport and fly home happy!
