Joondalup is located just north of Perth, Western Australia. It's an area that has been growing steadily over recent years, due to its proximity to both Fremantle and Mandurah. The city itself is home to around 50,000 residents, making it one of the largest cities in the state. There are plenty of things to see and do in Joondalup, including the Joondalup Markets held every Saturday morning, where there are lots of stalls selling everything from fresh produce to clothing. There are also several parks within the city limits, such as Lake Joondalup, which offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. If you're looking for something to eat out though, then you'll find plenty of restaurants in the area too, including some excellent Italian food!
The best way to get around Joondalup is via public transport. There are two main bus routes through the city, Route 803 runs between Joondalup train station and Kings Park, while Route 805 runs between Joondalup train station and Westfield Carousel shopping centre. Both buses run frequently throughout the day, and take approximately 20 minutes each way. If you prefer travelling by car, there are plenty of parking spaces at the train station, although if you plan to stay overnight in Joondalup, then it might be worth considering hiring a campervan instead. This way you won't have to worry about finding somewhere to park, and you can drive directly into town when you arrive.
