Cruisin Tasmania Motorhomes
The best way to see Australia's beautiful coastline is from the comfort of a motorhome. The Tasmanian coast has some stunning beaches, including those at Cradle Mountain National Park, where you'll find the world famous Devil's Kitchen waterfall. If you're looking for something a little quieter, there are many secluded bays along the east coast. There are plenty of places to stop and explore, such as the historic towns of Devonport and Burnie, both with interesting museums and galleries. And if you fancy a spot of fishing, try catching barramundi in the waters around Bruny Island.
You might like to take advantage of the free camping areas along the south-east coast, but don't forget to check out the state parks and national forests. In fact, most of these parks offer great walking trails and picnic spots. You can even camp under the stars! Some of the most popular campsites include Tarkine, Freycinet, Huon Valley and Mount Fielder. Camping in these locations gives you access to some fantastic hiking trails, including the Great Ocean Walk. This walk stretches over 300 kilometres across three states, taking you through rainforests, past waterfalls and down to the sea. It takes between four and six days to complete, depending on how fast you travel. But don't worry, there are plenty of other things to do while you're here too. Take a trip into Hobart, visit the capital city of Launceston, or head inland to discover the wild beauty of the Central Highlands.
