Campervan Rental Reykjavik
Reykjavík is a great city to visit, but if you're looking for something a little quieter then perhaps consider renting a camper van instead. There's no shortage of places to stay in Iceland, but when you rent a camper van you'll find yourself surrounded by nature, and away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. If you're thinking of visiting Iceland, here are some things to bear in mind before booking your camper van rental.
- The weather in Iceland is unpredictable at best, so always check the forecast before travelling. It might rain during the day, but clear skies are expected overnight.
- If you plan on driving around Iceland, remember that there are speed limits throughout the country. The limit varies depending on where you are, but generally speaking they range between 50-80 km/hr.
- Icelandic roads aren't designed for heavy traffic, so don't expect them to be smooth sailing. In fact, most Icelandic roads are quite bumpy, especially after heavy rainfall. Be prepared for potholes!
- It's not uncommon for Icelanders to drive on the wrong side of the road, so watch out for other drivers who may be coming towards you.
- You should always carry an International Driving Permit, as well as your passport. This way you won't get into trouble if stopped by police.
