Torrevieja has become an increasingly popular destination over recent years, and if you're looking for a cheap holiday then there's no doubt that you'll find something suitable here. The town itself is situated at the mouth of the river Guadalest, and offers some beautiful views out across the Mediterranean Sea. There are plenty of bars and restaurants dotted around the area, but if you're after somewhere quieter, then the beaches of Los Boliches are just minutes away from the centre of town. If you fancy staying near the beach, then Torrevieja has many campsites located along its coastline, including Playa de los Frailes, where you can camp for less than €20 per night. Alternatively, if you prefer camping further inland, then you might like to consider Campamento del Morro, which is located close to the old town of San Miguel de Lillo. This campsite provides excellent facilities, such as hot showers, laundry services and even a swimming pool!
If you're planning on visiting Torrevieja during the summer months, then you should definitely check out the local festivals. These include the Feria Internacional de la Vendimia, which takes place every year between mid-August and early September, and features lots of wine tasting, music and food stalls. In addition, there are several other smaller events throughout the year, such as the Festival de la Música y el Jazz, which runs from late June until early July.
