Campervan Hire Frankston
Frankston is located just south of Melbourne's CBD, making it an ideal base from which to explore Victoria's beautiful beaches, national parks and other tourist attractions. The city has a strong arts community, with many galleries and museums, while there are plenty of restaurants and cafes around the main shopping strip at St Kilda Road. If you're looking for something a little quieter, head out to nearby Sorrento where you'll find some great cafés and restaurants, including a couple of excellent seafood places.
The beachfront suburb of Brighton offers some lovely seaside walks along the foreshore, while those who like a little adventure should check out the popular surf spot known as Point Lonsdale. It's not far away either, but if you don't fancy walking then take a bus or train to get there. There are regular services running between Frankston station and both these locations, and they run frequently throughout the day. Alternatively, you can drive yourself to the beach via the Southern Outlet, which runs through the suburbs of Mount Martha and Mount Eliza.
For those wanting to camp, there are several caravan parks within easy reach of Frankston. One of the best is Ocean Grove Caravan Park, which is close to the ocean and has a range of facilities including laundry rooms, showers and toilets. This park is also dog friendly, so if you bring your furry friend along you won't have to worry about them being left behind when you travel.
If you're planning on driving into Melbourne, then you'll need to pass through the suburb of Dandenong.
