Campervan Hire Mornington Peninsula
The Mornington Peninsula is located just south of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It's an area of outstanding natural beauty, boasting beautiful beaches, rugged cliffs, rainforest and spectacular views from many vantage points. The peninsula has become increasingly popular over recent years due to its proximity to Melbourne and its easy access via the Princes Freeway. This makes it ideal for those who wish to explore the surrounding areas without having to travel too far away from home.
For anyone looking to rent a campervan in the Mornington Peninsula, there are two main locations where you can find them. These include:
- Portsea Beach Campground
- Mornington Peninsula Holiday Park
Both these campsites offer great facilities including barbecues, campfires, showers, laundry, playgrounds and plenty of other activities. They're both within walking distance of each other, making it really convenient if you're staying at either of them. There are some nice caravan parks nearby too, but they tend to be quite expensive. If you decide to stay somewhere else then you'll probably need to drive to get to the beach, unless you like spending money on petrol!
If you plan to visit the Mornington Peninsula during summer months, then you should definitely consider booking ahead. As the weather gets warmer, so does the demand for accommodation, especially around Portsea Beach Campground. In fact, the campsite often runs out of space before Christmas. If you book early enough though, you'll avoid disappointment when you arrive.
