Campervan Hire Los Angeles Airport
The best way to get around LAX airport is via public transport. There are two main bus routes from LAX airport into downtown Los Angeles. The first route runs along Wilshire Boulevard, while the second runs along Sepulveda Boulevard. Both buses run every 15 minutes during peak hours, and take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic conditions. If you're travelling at night time, then there's an additional service running between LAX airport and Westwood Village. This takes roughly 45 minutes to reach its destination.
If you're looking for something slightly faster than the buses, then you'll find plenty of taxis waiting outside LAX airport. They cost $20-$30 per person, but they should arrive within 10 minutes. Alternatively, if you don't mind walking, then you can walk across the road to the Metro station. It costs $2.25 per journey, and takes 20 minutes to reach Union Station.
Once you've arrived at Union Station, you can either catch the train back to LAX airport, or continue on towards Downtown Los Angeles. The train station has three lines, each taking around 40 minutes to reach the city centre. A single ticket costs $3.50, and you can buy tickets from vending machines located throughout the station.
Alternatively, you can travel directly to the heart of the city via the subway system.
