Cancun Motorbike Rental
The best way to get around Cancun is via motorbike rentals. There are many different types of bikes to hire, including scooters, dirtbikes, mopeds and even quad-bikes. The main thing to remember about renting a bike in Cancun is that they are not cheap. Expect to pay between $10-$20 per hour, depending on how far you go and what type of bike you choose. If you’re looking for something cheaper than that, consider taking a taxi instead.
There are two main areas where you can find motorbike rentals:
*Cancun Moto Tours: These guys offer tours throughout the island, but their specialty is biking through the jungle. They have some great guides who speak English and Spanish, and make sure you don't miss any of the sights along the way.
*Rentabikecanacun: A local company based in Playa del Carmen, Rentabikecanacun offers a variety of options for motorbike rentals. They offer trips around the island, as well as to Cozumel and Tulum, and they also run tours to the cenotes (natural underground water caves).
When choosing a tour operator, try to find one that has good reviews. It should be easy enough to contact them directly, either by phone or email, and ask questions before making a decision.
