You might have heard of Cozumel before but maybe not really known what it is. It is one of Mexico’s largest tourist destinations and a popular destination for those looking to enjoy some sun and sea action. The island itself is home to many different types of wildlife including turtles, birds and even crocodiles. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy during your stay here including snorkelling, diving, fishing, surfing and much more. If you are travelling with children, they will love the numerous water parks and playgrounds. There are also lots of bars and restaurants where you can eat well while enjoying the views over the ocean.
There are several ways to get around the island. One way is to hire a car, however, this isn't recommended due to the fact that traffic can be quite heavy at times. Another option is to take a taxi, however, these are expensive and not recommended unless you absolutely need them. A third option is to use public transport, however, this is only suitable for people who don't mind walking long distances.
Hiring a bike is another great option for getting around the island. However, you should make sure that you book ahead of time because bikes tend to fill up quickly. For example, I booked my bike back in February 2018 and still had to wait until May to secure mine. That said, once you have secured yours, it is easy to find using the map provided on their site.
