Motorcycle Rental Lisbon
The bike rentals in Portugal are really cheap, but they have some restrictions. If you are not sure about renting a motorbike in Portugal, here is what you need to know:
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You should wear a helmet while riding.
- A valid driving license is required.
There are many different types of bikes available in Portugal, like scooters, mopeds, dirtbikes, ATVs, quads, etc... The best thing to do is go to one of the main cities where there are lots of shops selling them. In these places you will find plenty of options, prices and availability. It’s important to note that you cannot rent any type of bike without having a driver’s license. So make sure you get one before heading to Portugal.
To rent a bike in Portugal you will first need to visit the local police station and fill out a form called “carta de identidade e residência” (ID Card). Once you have done that, you will receive a temporary ID card. Make sure you keep this document safe because it will serve as proof of identity during your stay in Portugal.
When you arrive at the shop, you will pay for the bike rental and sign a contract. At this point you will be asked to show your passport, drivers license and ID card. After that, you will give the keys back to the owner and leave the premises.
