Motorcycle Rental Katori Shi
The best way to get around Japan is by renting a motorbike. There are two main types of motorbikes in Japan:
- The Honda Dream (or Honda DREAM)
- The Kawasaki Zephyr (or Kawasaki ZEPHYR)
In both cases, they are pretty much identical except for their engines.
Both have automatic transmissions, front disc brakes, and rear drum brakes. They are very similar, but not exactly the same. For instance, the Honda Dream has a slightly larger engine than the Kawasaki Zephyr. Also, the Honda Dream has a higher seating position, while the Kawasaki Zephyr has a lower one. However, these differences are only minor ones.
You should consider getting a Japanese license before renting a bike. If you don't have one, you can take lessons at a riding school, but it would probably be easier to buy a license first. In any case, you need to go to a police station and pay some money to get a temporary license. After that, you can ride anywhere within Japan without having to worry about anything else.
Renting a bike is fairly easy. First, you go to a shop where you rent bikes. Then, you give them your passport information, and they issue you a temporary license. Finally, you go back to the shop and exchange the temporary license for a permanent one. It costs ¥300 per day, plus tax. That includes insurance, gas, and parking fees. But you can usually save money by using coupons.
